Fall 2010 Fashion Week

Some of my favorite collections from the runway collections are (will update with a few more later in the week):

Burberry Prorsum:
I loved everything about the Burberry Prorsum runway collection. The use of earth tones like brown, army, and olive. Also, I love that accents of mustard yellow, electric blue, and fuchsia pink. The mix of different fabrics, sherling, fur and leather was perfect. The lace accents in some of the looks was softening. The over the knee slouchy boots, buckled sherling boots, and studded bags completed the looks.

Prada:
I love menswear and rarely am drawn to femininity when browsing fashion. It is always greatly appreciated by my eye always catches the dark gothic designs first. When looking at the Prada collection there was something that drew me to those dresses. I thought they were flattering and the patterns reminded me of vintage 70's patterns which I secretly love, but never buy/wear. I loved the Prada collections as a whole, it was put together seamlessly I thought and had a good flow to it. It also is very wearable. I loved the dresses with the cut outs under the breast with ruffle detailing on the breast. Also love the camel leather jacket and skirt!

Alexander Wang:
Although I hated the hair at Alexander Wang show, I did enjoy his collection; except for the ones the remind me of witch Halloween costumes with the flared sleeves. What I did like was the was the fabric was overlapped and cut to create a unique silhouette. I thought the cutouts in some of the pieces made it outfits sexy even if the whole body was covered with fabric. My favorite piece was the long leather jacket!
